Your Questions Answered

These are the questions that reach our inbox most often, with straight answers. If yours is not here, the Reach Us page explains how to ask.

About the site

What is AB Gambling Hub?

An independent news and explainer site about gambling: online slots, casino trends, sports betting and the wider industry. It is written for adults who want clear information without the sales pitch. Our About page has the full picture.

Can I place a bet or play a game here?

No. The hub publishes articles and nothing else. There are no games, no betting slips, no accounts and no deposits, and that will not change.

Who writes the articles?

A small editorial team. We do not claim professional credentials, and we do not present anyone as an expert. What we offer instead is careful explanation, checked arithmetic and openness about our mistakes.

Do your stories mention gambling companies?

Several do, and the odd one carries a link. A name in an article is not an endorsement, so compare operators and read their terms and local rules yourself.

About the content

Are the odds in your examples real?

No. Teams, players and prices in our examples are invented so we can show how a bet works without nudging anyone towards a real market. We say so in the text every time.

Will your articles help me win?

They can show you clearly what each bet or spin costs. They cannot remove the margin built into betting prices or the house edge in casino games, and no honest article can. Anyone promising otherwise is selling something.

Why do you not recommend sites to play on?

Because the right answer depends on where you live, what is legal there and which operators are licensed by your regulator. We would rather you check those things yourself than trust a list. Our How Ratings Work page explains the general criteria we use when we discuss games or platforms.

Where should a beginner start?

For sports markets, our point spread explainer is the foundation for most other bet types. For unfamiliar terms, the Jargon Buster keeps definitions short.

About gambling and you

Is gambling legal where I live?

We cannot answer that for you. Gambling laws vary between countries and often between regions within them. Your local regulator or government website is the place to check.

How old do I need to be to read the site?

At least 18, or older if the legal gambling age where you live is higher.

What should I do if gambling is becoming a problem?

Stop for now, use the limit or exclusion tools on any account you hold, and speak to a national gambling helpline or your doctor. Our Play Responsibly page lists practical first steps, and Self-Exclusion Explained covers how a longer break works.

About your privacy

Is my reading on this site monitored?

No. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on the site. The only thing stored is your answer to the cookie banner, kept in your own browser. The Privacy & Data page has the details.

Got a topic idea?

A short note is enough.

Quick answers

What readers ask the hub most

The short version of the questions that land in our inbox week after week.

Does AB Gambling Hub take bets or run games?

Never. The hub is a publication only, so there are no wagers, deposits, player accounts or games anywhere on it.

Are the prices in your examples from real markets?

No. We invent teams, players and odds so a bet type can be explained without pointing anyone towards a live market.

Which operator should I use?

We do not name or rank operators. Check which ones your own regulator licenses, and whether gambling is lawful where you are, before anything else.

What if betting has stopped feeling like a pastime?

Pause, switch on the limit or exclusion tools on any account you hold, and talk to a national gambling helpline or your doctor. Support is free and confidential.
