Cookie Information
Most cookie notices exist because a site is collecting something. Ours exists mainly to tell you that it is not. This page sets out exactly what is stored on your device when you read AB Gambling Hub, and how to remove it.
What we do not use
- No analytics or statistics cookies.
- No advertising, retargeting or affiliate tracking cookies.
- No social media pixels or embedded share widgets that set their own cookies.
- No login or session cookies, because there are no accounts on this site.
What we do store
There is a single item. When you click either button on the banner at the top of the page, your answer is saved in your browser's local storage under a short key. Local storage works much like a cookie, but it is not sent to any server with your page requests. Its only job is to remember that you have already seen the banner, so it does not appear again on every page you open.
| Item | Type | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banner choice | Local storage | Remembers your answer to the cookie banner | Until you clear your browser's site data |
Declining does not change how the site works, because there is nothing optional to switch off. Accepting does not switch anything on. The choice is recorded either way only so we stop asking.
How to remove it
- Open your browser's settings and look for privacy, site data or storage.
- Find the entry for this website.
- Choose to clear or delete its data.
The next time you visit, the banner will appear again and you can answer afresh. Private or incognito windows discard local storage automatically when they close.
Hosting and server logs
Separately from your browser, our hosting provider records short technical logs when pages are requested. Those logs are not cookies and are explained on our Privacy & Data page.
If anything changes
Should we ever add a feature that needs more than this, this page will say so plainly, and the banner will ask for your consent before anything new is stored.
Questions about any of this can go to the team through Reach Us. And a reminder that sits on every page of the hub: the site is for adults aged 18 and over only.
