About AB Gambling Hub

AB Gambling Hub is a small, independent publication that follows the gambling world and explains it in plain language. We cover online slots, casino trends, sports betting and the business and regulation behind them, and we try to do it the way a steady local newsroom would: report what is happening, explain how it works, and leave the hype to others.

Who the site is for

Everything here is written for adults. You need to be 18 or over to read on, or older if the legal gambling age where you live is higher. Some of our readers place the occasional bet; others never gamble at all and simply want to understand an industry that turns up in their news feed, their sports coverage and their phone. Nothing on the site is meant to encourage anyone who does not gamble to start.

What we cover

  • Gambling and slots — how online slots are designed, what return-to-player and volatility mean, and why some themes and formats catch on.
  • Industry news — market growth, new products and the changing legal picture in different regions, reported without cheerleading.
  • Sports betting — bet types and market formats explained one at a time, from point spreads to teasers, futures and exchanges.
  • How-to pieces — practical, low-key guidance on budgets, record keeping and reading the small print.
  • Safer play — limits, time-outs, self-exclusion and where to find help when gambling stops being enjoyable.

What we are not

We are not a casino, a sportsbook or a betting tipster. You cannot place a bet, open a gambling account or deposit money anywhere on this site, and we never will offer that. We do not rank or recommend real operators, and we do not sell "systems" that claim to beat the house. Where an article uses odds or prices, they are hypothetical examples chosen to show how something works, not suggestions to act on.

How we stay independent

The hub is run by a small editorial team. Some stories mention or link to gambling businesses, and such a mention is never a promise that an operator is licensed for you or worth your money. Our pages carry no advertising and no tracking scripts, which also means we have no reason to chase clicks with sensational headlines.

That independence comes with responsibilities. We correct mistakes openly, and the process is described on our How We Fix Mistakes page. When we judge games or platforms in general terms, the criteria we use are set out on How Ratings Work.

Our view on risk

Every form of gambling has a cost built into it. Slots return less than they take over time, sportsbooks include a margin in their prices and casino table games carry a house edge. We say so plainly in our articles because we think informed adults make calmer choices. If you ever feel that gambling is taking more than money you set aside for fun, our Play Responsibly page is a good place to pause and read.

Getting in touch

Questions, corrections and story suggestions are welcome. You can reach the team through the Reach Us page, and if you are new here, Your Questions Answered covers the things readers most often ask.

Know the difference

A news and explainer hub versus a gambling operator

People sometimes land here expecting to place a bet. Here is how we differ from the sites that take wagers.

AB Gambling Hub

  • Publishes articles and nothing else
  • Uses invented odds in every example
  • Names no operators and ranks none
  • Carries no adverts and no tracking
  • Talks openly about margins and losses

A licensed operator

  • Accepts stakes and pays out winnings
  • Sets real prices that include its margin
  • Holds player accounts and deposits
  • Is licensed by a regulator in each market
  • Must offer limits and exclusion tools

If you have questions about an account, a payout or a dispute, the operator and its regulator are the right contacts, not us.
